Christina Van Houten (C'89)

Senior Vice President, Strategy & Project Management

Christina Van Houten leads up Product at Infor, the 3rd largest business applications firm in the world. In her role, she drives the investment strategy and development process of a $500M R&D portfolio as part of Infor's $3B business that covers approximately 100,000 customers located in nearly every country across the globe. Her organization is responsible for everything related to total product success – from market analysis, business planning and product strategy through development, launch, marketing, sales and support.

With over 20 years of technology business strategy, Christina had tenures at Oracle and IBM prior to joining Infor in 2011, along with the entrepreneurial firms that were acquired by them. She also sits on the advisory boards of several emerging technology firms. Prior to evolving into the technology sector, Christina was an apparel manufacturer for a women's athleisure line and spent her younger years focused on public interest work with The John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, DC City Government, US Treasury Department, and several political campaigns.

After years of having female colleagues and friends ask for mentoring and career advice, Christina recently published Men@Work, A career girl's guide to navigating male archetypes, and has two additional books pending as part of a series. These books are part of Women@Work, a new online platform dedicated to the economic advancement and self-reliance of women and girls around the world.

Christina earned a BA in Government and Theology from Georgetown University and attended the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she received an MBA in Business Strategy. Originally from Oklahoma, Christina now resides in Boston with her husband and two sons.
