Helga Byrne is a psychotherapist, coach, and speaker who specializes in working with high achievers and business professionals. Her expertise lies in helping her clients identify and overcome blocks to achieving their full potential in their personal and professional lives and live more authentically through clearer alignment and embodiment of their core values. Prior to becoming a therapist, Byrne had a 15-year corporate career in luxury goods and apparel. She has extensive experience in sales, operations, communications, relationship management, and business development for esteemed luxury brands such as Brooks Brothers, A Pea in the Pod, and Tiffany & Co. She oversaw sales, operations and communications for six apparel and jewelry brands totaling 250 stores including Adrienne Vittadini, Carolee, and Brooks Brothers at conglomerate Retail Brand Alliance. At A Pea in the Pod, Byrne was responsible for a 45-store chain of designer maternity stores with annual sales of $50M. During her tenure at Tiffany & Co., she received numerous awards as a sales leader in their B2B corporate division, opened multiple new stores across the U.S., and directed sales, operations, and strategic planning for their U.S. retail division. Byrne has a Bachelor of Science in Languages and Linguistics from Georgetown University and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from New York University. She completed additional post graduate training at New York University, the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, and Coaches Training Institute. She currently has a thriving group practice in Manhattan, where she sees therapy and coaching clients and mentors early career therapists. Always engaging in her lifelong passion for learning, she is an avid traveler, skier, and hot yoga devotee. She also frequently speaks about her personal journey with Post Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome (PTLDS) and the impact of living with an invisible illness.
