From Philly to Las Vegas to the Bay Area, Bserat Ghebremicael (B’17) has moved all around the country experiencing different communities, learning she gets bored of routine, and being optimistic in the face of changes and challenges. After graduating from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in 2017, Ghebremicael has gone on to work at Google, now in the middle of a transition from a global events lead role to a role more directly accelerating and growing small app businesses. At Google, she is a co-lead for the South Bay chapter of the Black Googler Network and has led initiatives ranging from fundraising $350K+ for Black-led nonprofit organizations to highlighting stories of the incredible Black women that make up our company. Outside of work, she loves good wine, good travel, good ideas and good, critical articles. The excitement for new ideas has recently led her to work supporting the people and economic development of Tigray, currently a region in northern Ethiopia.
