As senior vice president and chief talent and inclusion officer at WeWork, LJ Louis maintains responsibility for the company’s talent acquisition strategies. Louis, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., established WeWork’s Office of Inclusion in 2019. She currently manages the company’s Global Diversity Leadership Council and Regional Inclusion and Diversity Ambassadors.

Louis’s previous career experience includes vice president, head of Global Leadership Talent at L Brands, where she established and led the company’s efforts to recruit executive, leadership-level talent. She has also managed executive searches on behalf of L Brands during her tenure as a partner at Korn Ferry, and worked in acquisitions and asset management in the specialty finance and real estate industries.

Louis earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a dual concentration in finance and management from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in human resources management fromNew York University. She is a frequent speaker on topics related to talent, culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion and has received accolades for her work including recognition by Comparably as one of 50 Impactful DEI Leaders Driving Change in 2021 and  Best Employer Brand for companies with 5,000 to 10,000 employees by LinkedIn.

Currently residing in Brooklyn, New York with her husband DeWayne (B’01) and their puppy, Stabler, Louis is actively involved in her community through organizations that support her passion for the arts. She is member of the Steering Committee of EmpowHer, the Apollo Theater’s Women’s Committee and serves on the Advisory Board of B6 Real Estate Advisors.
