Susan Dugan is a Professor Emerita at Georgetown University, where she taught strategy courses for over 20 years in the undergraduate and MBA programs at the McDonough School of Business (MSB). Prior to her career at MSB, she spent 10 years as an international management consultant for both private enterprises and public institutions, with clients such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Interamerican Development Bank, and the world’s top five private financial institutions.

Dugan graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown’s School of Languages and Linguistics with a Bachelor of Science in Linguistics and is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Lambda Beta (the Portuguese Honor Society) and holds her MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

During her time at Georgetown, Dungan swam distance for the university's (co-ed) swimming and diving team for four years, qualifying regularly for regional and national meets, and serving as captain her senior year. She also started as a forward for the women’s Field Hockey team for four years. Dungan was the first woman to win the Robert A. Duffey Scholar-Athlete Award (1977) and the first woman to be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame (1994).

Dungan has four children, two of whom are Hoyas: one from the College—Class of  2012—and one currently attending the Law Center—Class of 2024.
