Sylvia E. Morris is an internist and health communicator who translates complex medicine into practical guidance for audiences across festivals, podcasts, and media. Media credits include CNN International, The Weather Channel, FOX 5 Atlanta, NBC 6 Miami, KevinMD, Health Professionals Radio, NBC News (NBCBLK), and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She co‑hosts the Boss Leap Podcast and co‑authored The Game Plan: A Woman’s Guide to Becoming a Doctor and Living a Life in Medicine. She currently serves as a hospitalist, area physician market lead, and national social media ambassador at Kaiser Permanente. She is a clinical associate professor at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, serves on the Advisory Board of the Johns Hopkins University Berman Institute of Bioethics, and serves on the Alumni Board of the Georgetown University School of Medicine. Morris earned her B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley; her MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; and her M.D. from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
