Ianthe Metzger (C'12)
Ianthe Metzger is the Deputy Director of Campaign Communications for State and Local at EMILY's List, the nation's largest resource for women in politics. She works with campaigns and endorsed down-ballot candidates to create effective media and messaging strategies, laying the groundwork for the next generation of leaders for local and state offices.
Prior to EMILY's List, Ianthe worked for the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest LGBTQ civil rights organization, where she led communications for the 2018 midterm cycle and worked on a number of issues including marriage equality and LGBTQ-inclusive non-discrimination protections. She has also worked at the progressive PR firm BerlinRosen, where her clients included Planned Parenthood, the Southern Environmental Law Center and the Democratic Attorneys General Association, and on the communications teams of AFL-CIO and its community affiliate Working America.
Ianthe received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in 2012 and Master's in Strategic Public Relations from George Washington University in 2017.
