Alana Blaylock (C'11)

Alana got her start in production by assisting on reality TV shows for the Sundance Channel and TLC. Her portfolio includes development pilots for MTV and BET too. At NBC News' Documentary Unit in NYC, Blaylock was a Casting Director and Associate Producer on multiple ID true crime recreation shows. Blaylock then moved to the west coast and produced CNN's United Shades of America, Season 2, which won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program. Shades is a documentary travel show that covers different cultures across the US. In 2017, Blaylock did research for high caliber doc shows and Associate Produced Best Shot, a YouTube Originals Series about inner-city high school basketball. In 2018, Blaylock produced an Amazon Prime docuseries and executive produced digital content for a private equity company. Recently, Blaylock served as the Assistant Director of a romantic comedy based on African-American Millennials in LA.
