Christina Cary is a consultant in the Washington, D.C. office of Heidrick & Struggles and is a core member of the firm’s Chief Human Resources Officer and Global Technology & Services practices. Since joining the firm in July of 2011, she has executed various searches for functional HR positions including CHRO, divisional/regional heads of HR, and leaders of talent management, talent strategy, and talent acquisition for public, private, and private-equity backed organizations. Cary has also assisted in the placement of individuals at the CEO/COO, senior vice president, vice president, managing director, and partner levels. Her experience spans the IT services/outsourcing, government contracting, professional services, business services, telecommunications, financial services, education, and social enterprise sectors.
Prior to joining Heidrick, Cary worked in the private wealth management business at JPMorgan Chase, providing customized solutions including capital advisory, investment asset allocation, and trust/estate planning recommendations for individuals within the private equity, hedge fund, and trading spaces. She joined JPMorgan Chase in September of 2005, after graduating magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.A. in government. During her early years at JPMorgan Chase, she pursued her MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, graduating in March of 2008 with concentrations in economics and managerial and organizational behavior.
Cary is a member of the Georgetown University Board of Governors, having served as the chair of the Revenue and Royalty Committee from 2014 to 2016, and the chair of the Nominations Committee from 2016 to 2018. She is also the president of Hoyas Unlimited, Georgetown’s annual fundraising arm for athletics that supports excellence across all of the university’s 29 intercollegiate sports.
