Elizabeth E. Alexander is a lawyer, strategic communicator and gender inclusion specialist with a unique blend of high-level legal and communications expertise and experience derived from her nearly 20-year career in both government and the private sector.   

Ms. Alexander is the former White House spokesperson for Vice President of the United States Joe Biden and has also served as a Department of Justice prosecutor, Communications Director for Congressman Adam Schiff, Press Secretary for the United Nations Foundation, Press Secretary for the Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe, and Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer.  She is currently a Senior Managing Director at the #1 global crisis management firm for businesses, FTI Consulting, where she is part of the senior leadership team for both the Public Affairs and Crisis & Litigation practices.

Ms. Alexander provides counsel to large-scale organizations and corporations on critical communications and business strategies during moments of challenge and change, including: discrimination claims, government investigations, litigation, executive misconduct, mergers and acquisitions, business transformation, competitive positioning, and regulatory and corporate governance issues.  She also specializes in crisis communications preparedness and execution, as well as gender inclusive communications strategies. 

In addition, she is a RIVA-trained focus group moderator, with a qualitative research emphasis on the workplace priorities of women professionals. 

Ms. Alexander is the co-author of  quantitative research featured in Bloomberg NewsAxiosCNBCFast CompanyInc., and Law360 focusing on gender dynamics in the workplace.  She is a frequent speaker and panelist on issues related to crisis & litigation, women’s empowerment & leadership, gender inclusion and women in business & law.

Ms. Alexander received her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.  She is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and resides in Bethesda, MD with her husband and two young sons.
