Reena Aggarwal, vice provost for faculty at Georgetown McDonough and director of the Georgetown Center for Financial Markets and Policy, has held various positions including interim dean and deputy dean of Georgetown's McDonough School of Business; distinguished scholar at the Reserve Bank of India’s CAFRAL; visiting professor of finance at MIT's Sloan School of Management; FINRA academic fellow and FINRA Economic Advisory Board member; academic fellow at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; visiting research scholar at the IMF; Fulbright Scholar to Brazil; and the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Financing and Capital.

Aggarwal specializes in global financial markets, market regulation, securities exchanges, ETFs, IPOs, institutional investors, private equity, valuation, and corporate governance. She is a prolific scholar, and has published in leading journals such as Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, and Journal of Portfolio Management.

Aggarwal serves on the Board of Directors of Cohen and Steers, New York Life Investment Management IndexIQ, Brightwood Capital, and REAN Cloud. She is a member of the FTSE Russell Academic Advisory Board. She has consulted for governments, law firms, companies, stock exchanges, and for organizations including the IMF, World Bank, UN, IFC, OPIC, IADB, and OECD. Her research and analysis is regularly cited in Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Forbes, and CNBC, among others. She received a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Maryland and MMS from BITS, India.
