Sarah Stuart is the chief people officer and chief of staff to the CEO at Glossier. Founded in 2014, Glossier has over 500 employees across three countries. Glossier sits at the intersection of beauty, retail, and technology, and is on a mission to give voice through beauty. Stuart is a strategic and empathetic people leader, passionate about building culture, developing talent, delivering strong business results, and creating exceptional and inclusive customer and employee experiences. She and her peers at Glossier are reimagining what a modern beauty company looks and feels like—building diverse teams highly capable of leading and operating in the new world of hybrid and remote work environments.

Prior to joining Glossier, Stuart spent four years at Snap, leading all things people for Snap’s corporate (G&A) teams as well as the Global Benefits & Wellbeing and People Operations teams. Prior to joining Snap, Stuart spent almost a decade on the people team at Google, where she built the Integrity & Governance team, managed multiple Diversity & Inclusion and University Outreach programs, and led company-wide initiatives focused on culture and respect in the workplace. She has helped organizations navigate through significant change, including Google’s growth from 7,000 to 70,000 employees and Snap’s transition through an IPO. Stuart has experience across a wide variety of people disciplines including analytics, benefits, coaching, compensation, compliance, diversity & inclusion, employee relations, internal communications, strategic business partnership, and talent acquisition.

Stuart started her career in admissions at Harvard Business School. She holds a B.A. degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management in Los Angeles, California. She currently serves as a trustee and mentor of the George F. Baker Scholars program at Georgetown University.

Stuart lives with her husband Alex, 8-year-old son Zack, and 5-year-old daughter Olivia in Los Angeles, California.
